Well, I think you know the fabulous news that we are now a 501c3 non-profit organization!! Hooray! This means contributions are now tax deductible and we look forward to extending our reach and helping more Troops and Veterans. This Christmas, we have MANY Troops overseas in need of support as well as Veterans here at home and we greatly appreciate your help in being able to show our heroes that they are not forgotten.
HUGE THANK YOU’s:
To Kurt Kwiatkowski DDS & team in Grafton for their outstanding efforts in collecting candy for the Mission Soldier Adoption program! Kurt stepped up his 3rd Annual Candy Collection this year making it an outdoor community celebration decked out with hot dogs from Player’s Sports Bar in Kewaskum, fresh popcorn and facepainting from glaze, cider, music from Veteran Jason Moon followed by the Mantz Brothers, raffle prizes, and even the Grafton Fire Department came out to join the rally for our Troops! Thank you to Kurt & Laura Kwiatkowski, the entire Kwiatkowski team in Grafton, Port Washington State Bank, and the surrounding companies and communities that donated time, prizes, items, funds, and letters for the Troops. 26 care packages full of 326 pounds of candy and letters were packed at the event and shipped overseas the next day with a second load of candy going over to our heroes in December.
To Michael Marx and Player’s Sports Bar in Kewaskum for collecting items and shipping funds for the Mission Soldier Adoption program! Player’s Sports Bar organized a community 10 day collection giving everyone a chance to honor our Troops and Veterans this past Veterans’ Day. The response was amazing and the community opened their hearts for our heroes donating bags and bags of supplies for our Troops. Thank you to Michael & Shelly Marx, Tony Fleischman, the entire Player’s Sports Bar team in Kewaskum, Kewaskum schools and Tuttle Creek Learning Center, and the surrounding communities that donated items, checks, and letters for the Troops care packages. Player’s Sports Bar and the community collected funds to ship 27 holiday boxes to our Troops overseas!
To Veolia Environmental Services for their amazing efforts in collecting items for our Troops overseas. To celebrate Veterans’ Day, Veolia sent Thanksgiving to our Troops overseas by filling and shipping 167 care packages! All of Veolia’s divisions, from Illinois to Pennsylvania, opened their hearts for our heroes, donating boxes upon boxes of supplies for our Troops. Thank you to Linda Lee Bartlett, all divisions of Veolia, and all individuals that donated time, items, funds, and letters for the Troops.
During the holidays it is especially difficult for our Troops to be away from home…so we are very thankful for your support for the Mission Soldier Adoption program and our military men and women.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Share what we do with others-individuals and companies. We are hearing that many people would like to donate–they just don’t know who sends care packages to our Troops overseas. We do 🙂 We are hearing from companies that want to collect items for Troops for the holidays but they don’t know how to get the items overseas…we do! And since we’re now a non-profit…if you know of companies that have a heart for our Troops & Veterans and may be willing to donate, please let us know.
Financially, we’re in need of shipping funds. Every dollar helps get a box in the hands of a soldier, sailor, marine, airman, coast guardsman, or national guardsman or woman who doesn’t receive support from home.
